Originally trained in business and leisure management at Manchester University, Rachel has over 15 years experience in grass roots sports development. She has held roles within Local Authorities, County Sports Partnerships and National Governing Bodies of Sport and worked on a wide range of projects that enable people of all ages and ability to have the opportunity to play sport, develop their skills and lead a healthier lifestyle. Rachel now continues to work closely with local, regional and national sports organisations to grow and sustain sports participation and help nurture sports people. Currently working in the private sector as a Sports Consultant, she has particular knowledge and expertise in sports funding, is a committed sports volunteer and has competed at an elite level winning gold medals at the British and European Indoor Rowing Championships.
Andy Husband graduated in 1983 from Bradford University with an Honours degree in Recreational Studies. He has a background in sports development, facility management, marketing and project management working predominantly in the public and third sectors. Andy has proven experience of developing strategies and business plans with an ability to turn these into results and is able to negotiate at all levels including Board and senior management levels. He is a good communicator with a passion for developing positive relationships with colleagues and customers. His specialism is coaching, organisational governance and business excellence. He has previously been a committee member of his athletics club and tennis club and now sits on the Executive committee of his local scout group.
Danny's experience covers the business, sports and leisure world and he specialises in sales, marketing, PR and sponsorship negotiation. As a Master Practitioner in Team Action Management (TAM) he takes a strong interest in combining patented and proven business processes with sports team ethos and creative flair to improve organisational development and deliver 'winning performance' on and off the pitch. Formerly Marketing Manager at Sheffield Wednesday Football Club, Danny has worked with over 60 clubs and organisations from Premier League football to grass roots sport to deliver sustainable improvements in culture, people, processes, participation and productivity.
