rms has designed sports funding workshops which are specifically for sports development staff, sports clubs and groups to access information on how and where to apply for sports funding.

The workshops are flexible in length with sessions lasting either 1 hour, 2 hours, half day or a full day to accommodate all needs and requirements.
Our most popular workshops are two 2-hour workshops which accommodate the absolute beginner in sports funding and the more experienced sports club or sports development professional just wanting to further develop their skills to build a strong case for funding sport. As follows:

rms has extensive experience in sports funding work and has already successfully delivered the workshop at Regional Conferences and Clubs Forums with some excellent feedback.
It was delivered as part of Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke On Trent's club development programme and at the RFUW Midlands Conferences with the sports clubs in attendance finding the workshop very interesting with some useful information on how to prepare a successful grant application.

Workshop fees start at £250 for a 1 hour workshop to £550 for a full day workshop. All fees include equipment and resources for up to 30 participants but does not include venue hire, refreshments and all expenses incurred by the tutor.
Club Development Planning Workshop
rms has developed a club development planning workshop which is specifically for sports clubs wanting to identify key areas for development and produce a high quality club development plan.
Topics covered include:
This workshop can be either delivered to one individual sports club or a number of clubs wanting to develop a club development plan and lasts approximately 2 hours in duration.
rms has extensive experience in club development planning and supporting sports clubs in writing club development plans to support grant applications and overall development with some excellent feedback.
rms produced a club development plan for Nottingham Rowing Club which was used to strengthen partnerships with key organisations and gain funding to support various projects. Since producing the plan the club is now Clubmark accredited and has successfully secured £173,000 to support both recreational and junior rowing programmes.

Sports Marketing Workshop
rms, in association with the sports marketing specialists Full Time Group, has developed a brand new and exciting workshop designed to help sports clubs and organisations drive up levels of participation and revenue in sport.

The workshops are flexible in length with sessions lasting either 1 hour, 2 hours, half day, full day, or more, to accommodate all individual requirements.
This workshop has been designed by rms in association with Full Time Group, a specialist sports marketing company who are based in Sheffield. Full Time Group has worked on projects with 65 football and rugby clubs and many other sport and leisure organisations, uniquely combining the best management, teamwork and marketing practices from the business and sport worlds.
Full Time Group provided a half day marketing session with the board and senior management of Barnsley Football Club, which led to a season ticket marketing, design and PR project which achieved record breaking sales and revenue increases.

Certificate in Sports Funding
rms, in association with Fundraising Skills UK Ltd, has developed the first accredited e-learning course in Sports Funding. The Certificate in Sports Funding is a Level 3 NCFE accredited course specifically designed for sports clubs, sports development professionals and students involved in pursuing grant applications for club development and sports development initiatives.
It can be completed in just four hours per week over a six week period. Case studies and practical assignments cover small and large grant opportunities and how to prepare a high quality grant application. All participants will be part of an online classroom led by a sports funding expert learning:

Sports Funding Surgeries
rms can deliver funding surgeries which are completely open sessions where sports clubs and groups developing sports projects can book a timed slot to obtain specific funding advice and information to help them successfully secure grant aid.
The surgeries are flexible in length with them lasting either 1 hour, 2 hours, half day, full day, or more, to accommodate all individual requirements. Each club or sports group is allocated a 15 minute session with the funding advisor to discuss their individual project requirements. As follows:
1 hour Up to 4 sports clubs and groups
2 hours Up to 8 sports clubs and groups
Half day Up to 12 sports clubs and groups
Full day Up to 22 sports clubs and groups
